Environmental Filmmaker-in-Residence

Earth

In August of 2010, I began a two-year fellowship at the College of William and Mary as the Environmental Filmmaker in Residence. Visual communication is a powerful tool and an increasingly essential skill for all students, especially students of science. Clear communication leads to an informed public, which drives public policy and the formation of grass roots initiatives. It’s of vital importance to the advancement of our society that the knowledge of our leading science experts is being communicated accurately, efficiently, and often. An important objective of the position is to familiarize future scientists with visual communication and media literacy.

More information may be read at my blog (which serves as an archives of the position and no longer updated), Photoepistemology.
